Reviewsnap?s White Paper Gets Underneath What Motivates Employees

http://www.reviewsnap.com/news.cfm?action=article&id=4bc16700-742a-4a51-8b20-445038fc866b

Reviewsnap, the leading cloud-based performance management software solution, today released its new white paper, “Put Your Money Where the Motivation Is — Compensation Strategies to Retain Your Best People.” Download a complimentary copy now.

No matter the economic environment, a leading goal of most organizations remains creating a workplace that’s engaging and motivating, where employees want to stay,
grow and contribute their knowledge, experience and expertise. Engaged employees are those who are motivated to contribute beyond what’s expected. But what creates
motivation and engagement, especially for your top performers?

Employees need clear answers to the age-old question — “What’s in it for me?” There are plenty of factors that contribute to motivation and engagement, but getting compensation right is a foundational element.

When it comes to effectively rewarding a diverse team of individuals, the fact is that one approach does not satisfy all. Developing a pay-for-performance strategy should include a process that rewards individuals relative to their contributions and how well they achieved objectives aligned to the organization's goals. According to Chris Arringdale, Reviewsnap’s vice president of marketing, “When employees understand how their achievements are valued and rewarded, motivation and engagement improve. Reviewsnap's compensation module makes rewarding results-based performance easy and reliable.”

Download your complimentary copy of Reviewsnap’s white paper “Put Your Money Where the Motivation Is — Compensation Strategies to Retain Your Best People” to learn how your organization can benefit from:
•	Identifying work characteristics that can improve or derail motivation
•	Using a strategy of total rewards to improve retention and engagement
•	Designing compensation that pays for performance and results
•	Differentiating rewards to reinforce and motivate your top performers
•	Creating compensation transparency that builds trust and accountability

Build a strategy of total rewards to create the kind of performance your organization needs to succeed.
“At Reviewsnap, we believe performance management software needn’t be overly complex or difficult to use. The simple and intuitive layout we’ve designed in our new website reflects our belief that functional simplicity creates a very positive experience for our clients,” Arringdale said.
ReviewSNAP Announces Learning Content Integration

http://www.reviewsnap.com/news.cfm?action=article&id=f4a6a644-29f5-4403-ba06-b64eb8eab29b

ReviewSNAP™ announced today an enhancement to their performance management software that will map learning content to performance competencies. The enhancement will be released early in the first quarter of 2012. The company plans to provide users of its web-based performance management system with the ability to schedule, complete and track online coursework linked to competency groups. The product enhancement is being referred to as learning content integration or LCI.

This enhancement will allow users of the system to create a development plan consisting of scheduled online or internal coursework. The system will create employee-specific transcripts of coursework and their completion dates for any development review period. The learning content integration allows coursework to be provided through the user’s existing learning management systems and/or from specific courses in the ReviewSNAP content library.

Dave Arringdale, ReviewSNAP’s president said, “Our objective is to provide the most practical and usable performance management solution available. With the addition of top quality learning content from leading providers of online courses, we will have made another huge stride toward delivering the perfect performance management solution for our community of users. We encourage our customers to continue asking for enhancements to the system. And we pledge to be diligent in combining customer feedback with industry best practice to deliver what they want and need.”

Users of the system will find the LCI functionality easy to use and understand. It can be turned on or off within the system should organizations not wish to integrate development plans that include learning content directly into their review processes.

Arringdale added, “We are committed to leading the web-based performance management industry and we understand that our client organizations want tools that help extend their ability to help employees perform at the highest possible level. Having easy-to-integrate learning content gives employees ready access to some of the best courses available. Our client organizations are excited about this addition to the system.”

ReviewSNAP Introducing a New, Innovative Benefits-Based Performance Management? Approach to Performance Appraisals

http://www.reviewsnap.com/news.cfm?action=article&id=46cc9c19-463d-49fb-8d52-f5ed1fbb310a

ReviewSNAP™ announced today that it will roll out its benefits-based performance management enhancement in the fourth quarter of 2011. Benefits-Based Performance Management™ (BBPM™) is an innovative approach to conducting performance reviews and ongoing feedback in a way that clearly conveys to the employee the benefits that accrue to them when they embrace workplace behavioral changes.

ReviewSNAP has developed this enhancement to the performance review process because it has found employees often do not understand completely why they should take seriously some of the ratings, comments and suggestions offered as part of their performance review. They may hear what they believe is a concern about their performance, but often fail to make the connection between how taking those concerns seriously and then making a conscious and focused effort on changing work-related behavior will benefit them in any material manner.

This approach does not have to represent a major departure from standard performance review processes. But it does provide the reviewer with additional tools to add verbiage to the reviews and to their discussions with employees that is intended to deliver more impact for employees as to why they should make important changes in their work approach.

According to Dave Arringdale, ReviewSNAP President, “Employees sometimes walk away from a coaching or review session wondering how they will truly benefit if they make behavioral changes to improve their performance in a particular area. Benefits-Based Performance Management™ helps embed into the entire feedback process a sense of partnering between the manager and employee and provides a clearer target for the employee to shoot for to help them become more successful. It’s really about what’s in it for me?”

This concept has been under development for some time. ReviewSNAP, in conjunction with its parent company, Applied Training Systems, Inc., has been conducting research for some time on the various ways performance reviews affect employee behavior and performance. That research uncovered a significant finding in that using a benefits-based approach seemed to outperform a more standard approach to conducting reviews and giving ongoing feedback.
“Whether we want to believe it or not, people are selfish by nature,” said Arringdale. “While they generally want the employer to believe they are eager to do a great job, they are not always that eager to modify their work behavior enough unless they feel there is a real payoff of some sort for them.”

ReviewSNAP has developed a comprehensive library of benefits statements that can be integrated into the actual performance review if desired. This library will soon be integrated within its Web-based performance management system. The addition of the library and the benefits section of the review templates are expected to take place by mid-fourth quarter of this year. The use of this feature will be optional within the system.

ReviewSNAP Announces Ad Hoc Reporting System Upgrade

http://www.reviewsnap.com/news.cfm?action=article&id=f1f183e3-8896-48e9-9e9d-af2ce6b3511f

ReviewSNAP™, a division of Applied Training Systems, has announced it is adding a complete ad-hoc reporting system as part of its statistics dashboard. This enhancement, set to rollout on June 6, 2011, will provide ReviewSNAP customers the ability to generate an unlimited number and types of reports and graphs to gain a very clear understanding of their performance related data at any level within their respective organizations.

“We made a decision over a year ago to make our reporting capabilities the most robust and most user-friendly in the online performance management industry. This enhancement to our system was obviously carefully thought out and we sought feedback from our current customer base to ensure that the reporting and graphical options met their needs as well as the needs of our new customers as they begin using the system.” said Dave Arringdale, ReviewSNAP’s President.

Customers will be able to create detailed reports and graphs individualized for their organization. The process will be as user-friendly as the system itself. Users will choose the exact fields they want to display on their reports or depict in a graphical format. One of the other key features includes the option of setting schedules for reports to be sent to individuals automatically on a regular basis.
